SUPPLYnCO., Home Wedding Attractive Function The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stewart was the scene of a pretty wedding Friday evening, when Miss Aurelia Stevens, charming charm-ing daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Stevens of B landing, Utah, was united in marriage to Loris Wayne Stewart, son of the Ray Stewarts. Judge Martin M. Larson, member mem-ber of the Manavu ward bishopric, officiated, the ceremony being performed per-formed at 5:30 o'clock in the presence pres-ence of immediate family members mem-bers and close friends, numbering 30.' The bride was lovely in an exquisite ex-quisite gown of gold satin back crepe, and the couple stood in front of a huge and beautifully lighted and decorated Christmas tree. . Tasty refreshments were served in the dining room, the table being covered with a handsome lace cloth.- Red-tapers were in crystal holders, and poinsettas were arranged ar-ranged about the room. The refreshments re-freshments were in a red and green color scheme. Mildred Stewart Stew-art and Arlene Speckart served. Music was furnished by Miss Melva Boyle and Grant Rasmus-sen. Rasmus-sen. The young couple left immediately immedi-ately for Ogden, where they will be the guests of Dr. and Mrs. Warren E. Rasmussen, cousins of the groom, for a few days. The bride is a student at the B. Y. Whittaker of Provo, wish to announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Gertrude Davis, to Virgil Y, "Slim" Soren-son, Soren-son, also of this city. The ceremony was performed Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the young couple will make their home in Provo for the time being. High Priests Entertain Among the delightful social functions of the week end, was the annual reception of the Fifth ward higk priests and their partners, part-ners, held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Van Wagenen Friday Fri-day evening. Mr. Bushman is a "Y" graduate and is at present employed by the Hedquist Drug company, a position which he has held for the past six years. The popular young couple will be wed in the Salt Lake temple the early part of January. After a short honeymoon, they will return to Provo to make their home. ! Soulier - Coon Engagement Announced Announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Iona Soulier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soulier of Grand View, to Irvine Coon of Salt Lake City. The marriage is to take place Christmas day. Girls Hold Social The clothing class students of the B. Y. U. home economics department de-partment entertained Friday evening eve-ning at the school, the delightful affair being in the form of a Christmas party. Fashion was the theme of the party and 200 girls were in attendance, attend-ance, the class members being attired in the dresses they have made, and, the senior girls appearing appear-ing in old-fashioned and medieval costumes. The various rooms used for the party were attractively decorated in Christmas colors and motifs. Clever games were played, under the direction of Miss Elizabeth Conover, Miss Gwen Brugger and Miss Helen Young. Popcorn balls and apples were served in the game room. Miss Madge Harris presided in the dining room. The table was covered with a white linen cloth and was centered with a tiny Christmas tree, prettily lighted and decorated, on either side of which was a handsome bronze' candelabra holding red iapers. Tiny plum puddings were served at small tables. ' The guests were greeted by Miss Pearl Taylor and Miss Clara Moore. Harry Blackwell entertained enter-tained with piano and acordian selections, and Margaret Summer-hays.' Summer-hays.' quartet rendered two numbers. num-bers. Miss Margaret Taylor was general gen-eral chairman on arrangements, and- was assisted by the Misses Elizabeth Conover, Gwen Brugger, Madge Harris, Clara Moore, Pearl Taylor, Helen Young, Uarda Ball and Mrs. Clarice Hart. LID AY CLEANING 'Y' Gamma Phi Christmas Affair A smart affair of Saturday evening, eve-ning, was the annual Christmas dancing party of Gamma Phi Omicron, national home economics fraternity of the B. Y. U., held at the Farrer junior high school. Three large Christmas trees, brightly lighted and decorated, proved attractive, as did the huge illuminated Gamma Phi shield. Poinsettas, and Christmas candles and wreaths were also employed. Forty couples we're in attendance. attend-ance. Dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Don W. Conover and Bishop and Mrs. Wilbur Sow-ards Sow-ards were the patrons. Miss Mary Brown, Miss Flora Kenney' and Miss Elizabeth Conover comprised the arrangements committee. Camp No. 3 Meeting Held A meeting of Camp No. 3, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, was held Thursday afternoon tit the home of Mrs. Maude Russell, with Mrs. Ottis Frazier in charge. Mrs. Mercy Peay, Mrs. Etta Johnson and Mrs. Emma Jones were the as sisting hostesses. The following program was furnished: Lesson, "The First Thanksgiving and Christmas," MrsT Rose Y. Stewart; two readings, read-ings, Mrs. Mercy Peay; community commun-ity singing, conducted by Mrs. Maude Russell; sketch of their parents, given by Mrs. Emma Jones and Mrs. Maude Russell.
