Miss Sarah Loynd, Miss Eliza beth Loynd, Miss Grace Rowland, Miss Josephine Ecker and Mr, and Mrs. George Kendall of Heber were Thanksgiving day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Brown at Coperton. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Thonv visited Monday evening with Mrs. Eliza Thorn, returning to their home at Payson, from St. Anthony, Idaho, where they spent Thanksgiving holidays with Mrs. Thorn's mother. Mrs. W. O. Jones of Spanish Fork spent Tuesday with her daughter Mrs. Eldon Palfreyman and family here. Officers and teachers of the First ward M. I. A. entertained at a party Monday evening in the ward hall for Leo Felix who will be married this week. About thirty people attended and spent the evening eve-ning with games. Mr. Felix was presented with a beautiful gift. Refreshments Re-freshments concluded the party. Members of the Friendship Circle met at the home of Mrs. Norma Holmes for a candy making party Friday evening. A tasty lunch was served by the hostess in the early evening to Mrs.. Grace Richmond, Mrs. Madge Leyshon, Mrs. Wilda Oakley, Mrs. Marva Averett, Mrs. Ella V, Hutchinson, Mrs. Margaret Wing and Mrs. Grace Allan, the latter being a guest. A number of friends delightfully surprised A. O. Thorn at his home Monday evening, the occasion being his birthday anniversary. Progressive Pro-gressive games and music featured the evening's entertainment. Later a delicious luncheon was served at one long table center with a beautiful beau-tiful birthday cake. Guests included: includ-ed: Mr. and Mrs. John Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. A. Y. Wheeler, Mrs. E. H. Martindale, Mrs. J. W. Whiting, Whit-ing, Miss Orpha Deal, Mrs. Hattie Blackett, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Payne and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hall. RECLAMATION FUNDS URGED Efforts to bring about an appropriation appro-priation from congress for western reclamation projects will be made at the National Governors' Reclamation Recla-mation congress which will be held Monday in Salt Lake at the instance in-stance of Governor George H. Dern. J. W. Gillman, member of the Utah Water Storage commission, will Attend the meeting and will take part in the discussion that will center around the furtherance of reclamation in the west. The reclamation btidgct Is deplete de-plete at the present time, Mr. Gill-man Gill-man said, so if any money is forthcoming forth-coming toward projects it will have to cbme from congress. It is the plan of the western states to concentrate on different projects and thus wield more power nationally nation-ally than each state fighting its small fights. The recommendations from the reclamation congress will be brought to the western governors' conference which will convene all day Tuesday. Mr. Gillman has also been invited to attend this conference.
