B i "Roundup" Is Leadership Cli imax As a fitting climax to Leadership week activities, a recreational hour was held at the Ladies' gymnasium late Friday afternoon which was in the form of a typical western roundup. The hostesses, members of Miss Wilma Jeppson's recreational class, were attired in cowgirl costumes, and their dancing partners were secured by using their lasso ropes. The f opes were placed in circulation circula-tion and the novel feature created a great amount of merriment among I the guests. j Walter Daniels' orchestra fur- nished the music for dancing. ! Laddie K. and Helen Ray Hanson Han-son sang "Out in Utah." They ap-1 ap-1 peared in western outfits. A cow-i cow-i boy song, "Strawberry Roam," was rendered by Bill Johnson, who also ! wore a cowboy costume. George Newton of Oklahoma, gave a splen-i splen-i did roping exhibition and buck-and- wing step dance was furnished by Morris Chiistensen, who wore a cowboy outfit. The event was largely attended and proved one of the most delightful delight-ful social features of Leadership week. Card Party Is Tendered Friends An enjoyable card party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Madsen Thursday evening at their home. Four tables of "500" were played, Mr. and Mrs.' J. D. Park receiving the high score prize and the consolation con-solation favors being won by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Snow. A competitive game was played, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Snow also being presented this award.
