Lodge News 4 'S -I" " Faculty Women's Ball Is Postpbned The date for the annual Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university faculty invitational in-vitational ball has been postponed from this week to February 15, it was announced Tuesday by Dr. Wesley P. Lloyd, dean of men and chairman of the committee in charge. It will be held in the Women's Gymnasium as originally planned. This ball is sponsored by the B. Y. U. Women's club, consisting of women faculty members and wives of faculty members. Though the ball ia ordinarily open to members of the university univer-sity faculty only, as an innovation innova-tion this year it is "open session" and each faculty member may invite in-vite two guests, says Dr. Lloyd. This year's ball will feature colorful color-ful characters hi the university faculty as a theme. Other members of the committee are Professor and Mrs. Elmer Miller, Dr. and Mrs. George H. Hansen, Mrs. Elizabeth Partridge, Mr. and Mrs. Morris M. Clinger, Dr. and Mrs. Madison W. Merrill, Dr. and Mrs. Loren C. Bryner, and professor and Mrs. Charles J. Hart. Bridal Shower Is Delightful Miss Norma Terry, bride-elect of the week was tendered a shower show-er by members of the O. M. S. club of Pleasant Grove, at the home of Mrs. Claude Burch in American Fork, Monday evening. Games provided amusement and a tasty luncheon was enjoyed. The honor guest was presented with a beautiful set of dishes. In attendance were: Mrs- Bryan Fugal, daughter of Mrs. Burch Mrs. Michael Jense, Miss Edith Prestwich, Mrs. Max Larsen, Mrs. Robert Holdaway and Miss Jean Richans. Both are descendants of L. D. S. pioneers who immigrated to Utah and seltled in Provo about 1855. Mr. Duke is a retired railroad man. Mrs. Duke has been active in Relief Society work also, a member of the Daughters of. Utah Pioneers. - . U., Tuesday evening at Keeleys, the theme, "A New World," being featured. Tapers and flowers were used to decorate the table ;ind the pledgees were given beautiful violet corsages. . The impressive ceremony, steep in rich tradition, was under the . direction of President Willie Stevens. The unit flower, the gardenia, together with blue candles, comprised com-prised the beautiful decorations.
