MAGNA Magna-Garfield took a one-game setback Wednesday afternoon as a traveling Gemmell club took them by surprise in a 5-2 game. The loss by the Magna team, although not dropping them from the State Industrial league leadership, lead-ership, didn't do any good as far as the standings go. It was the third loss in eight games for the leaders, and only three wins in seven starts for Gemmell. Gemmell's victory threw the top-spot in a two-way tie. It gave Pinney Beverage the same standing as the Magna-Garfield crew. The two teams meet this Sunday in the feature game of the state loop. In Wednesday's game. Gemmell picked up three runs in the fourth and one each in the fifth and eighth. Magna was two runs ahead at the first of the fourth when the winners started a belated be-lated rally.
