A. girls and their mothers of the Vineyard ward held a delightful de-lightful mothers and daughters outing out-ing at Geneva Thursday afternoon. The Bee Hive girls were in charge of invitations, the -Gleaners, the luncheon, under the supervision supervis-ion of Mrs. S. H. Blake, and the juniors, the program. Included on the program were the following enjoyable numbers: Duet, Lyle Holdaway and Zella Harding; speech "To the Mothers," Mary Blake, response from a mother, moth-er, Mrs. Vida Lystrup; report of the Bee Hive work, Miss Thelma Blake, stake beekeeper; pantomime panto-mime of a great musician, Norma Anderson; outline of Junior work, Mrs. Maud Holdaway; duet.i Mrs. Mallicent Wells and Mrs. Nora Harding; talk on Gleaners project work, "The Treasures of Truth," Mrs. Ellen Holdaway, stake Y. L. M. L A. president; reading, Joan Murdock; rportof Gleaner work, Mrs. Annie Blake. A delicious luncheon was served to 65 mothers and daughters. The grandmothers anl great grandmothers grand-mothers were special guests. Mrs. Marvin Gease was hostess at an attractively arranged bridge-breakfast bridge-breakfast Thursday morning at the Henry Gease residence, in tionor of Miss Vera Thomson of Salt Lake City, who is spending her vacation here. The entertaining rooms were tastefully decorated with bright colored garden flowers. The serving serv-ing table was covered with a beau tiful lace cloth over yellow and i was centered with a low bowl of j gladioli. Yellow princess tapers in I fold holders were at either end of the table. Tiny old-i'ashioned bouquets of garden flowers mark-id mark-id the places of the guests. Following breakfast, four taties of bridge were played. Mrs. Frank Branagan won the high score favor, Mrs. Harold Shriver, the second prize, and Miss Thomson tne guest award. U. is sponsoring a dancing 'party at the Old Mill in Salt Lake City, Saturday evening, August 26. . Miss' Helen Farrar is acting as , chairman, with the assistance of Miss Marin da Bennion. Harold and Ward Clark of Pleasant Grove, are leaving Saturday morning for a two weeks' trip to the world's fair in Chicago. Mrs. Mattie B. Stark of Los Angttes, and Mrs. Emma Ramsey Morris and daughters of Salt Lake, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ramsey Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bobey and family have returned from a delightful de-lightful trip to California. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew 'Kundsen and Mr. and Mrs. Karl J. Knud-en Knud-en have returned from a delightful delight-ful auto trip to Zion, Grand and T?rycp canyons. They declare they have not seen anything to equal the grandeur and beauty of southern south-ern Utah and northern Arizona. Miss Louise Candland of Salt Lake City, is vacationing heref with relatives and friends. Mrs. Lowell Variey and daughter, daugh-ter, are spending the week with relatives in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Cooley of Mesa, Ariz., have returned to their home after visiting for two weeks in Utah. Mr. and Mrs. George B. Carter of Murray, and Mr and Mrs. Ted Haymondi of Provo, have returned f-om a delightful two-day trip to Fish lake.
