Bridge Club Social Delightful The residence ot; Mrs. Boyd Roberts Rob-erts was the scene of an enjoyable social affair Thursday evening, when she was hostess to members of the N. H. Bridge club. Mrs. L. M. Brian won the club higfh score prize and the second favor went to Mrs. Earl Bluraen-thal. Bluraen-thal. Mrs. Arbert Taylor received the guest award. A delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served, Hallowe'en decorations decora-tions prevailed. The following members were in attendance: Mrs. Lyne Roberts, Mrs. Earl Btumenthal, Mrs. Mark Roberts, Mrs. L. M. Brian, Mrs. Oscar Carlson and Mrs. Albert Page. Included in the guest list were: Mrs. Albert Taylor, Mrs. Fred Hafen and Mrs. Dan Lewis of Provo, Mrs. Leslie Anderson, Hallowe'en Dances Sponsored By M. I. A. An enjoyable social affair of Wednesday evening was the Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en married folks dance given by the Second ward. M. I. A. in the amusement half. Gay Hallowe'en decorations were used. The Serenaders furnished the music and tasty refreshments vere sold. The M. I. A. will hold a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en dance and "fun house" Saturday evening in the amusement amuse-ment hatl, to which the public is invited. Tine Vanguards and Boy Scouts will have charge of the "fun house'' and they promise exciting ex-citing Hallowe'en features. The Serenaders will furnish the music. Hallowe'en Carnival A Hallowe'en carnival is being arranged by Valley Chapter No. 3, O. E. S. for Saturday evening al 8 o'clock at the Masonic temple. All Eastern Star and Masonic families are extended a cordial in vitation. You And Your Friends Lawrence Batley of Salt Lake, has returned to his home after spending a few days here with Mrs. E. S. Goddard. He has been visiting visit-ing with his children, Marjorie and Keith Batley. Marjorie returned to Salt Lake with her father and will spend the week end with her aurit, Mrs. Fern McGurl. Shirley L. Erickson of Orem, and Louise Marie Christensen of Moroni, were married Thursday at the county coun-ty court house by Bishop R. J. Murdock of the Fourth ward. Mrs. Thomas Leonard of Salt Lake City, has been visiting with relatives and friends in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Miller of Clinton, Clin-ton, Iowa, are visitors in Provo today. F. Gilbert of Evansville, Ind., spent today here on business. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Phibbs of San Francisco, Cal., former Pro-voans, Pro-voans, are visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Nims of Og-den, Og-den, former residents of Provo, are among the visitors here. Clarence Law of Soda Springs, Ida., spent today with business friends here. Mrs. Fern McGurl has returned to her home in Salt Lake, after visiting here for a few days with her mother, Mrs. E. S. Goddard. Mr. and Mrs. II. J. Merkel and son, William Clark Merkel, arrived in Provo Thursday from Chicago, 111., where they have been spending the past five weeks. They are at the home of Mrs. Clark's mother, Mrs. George A. Clark, and will leave in a week for Los Angeles, Cal., where they will make their hbme during the winter months. Miss Ruth Coleman, who spent the early part of the summer with the Associated Chautauqua in the west and middle west, and who has been visiting for the past six weeks in Boston, Mass., with her sister, Mrs. Rhea Guild, is expected home this week end. Mrs. Elmer Mad gen has returned home from Midway, where she has been with her mother Mrs. H.. T. Coleman, who has been seriously ill. Mrs. A. E. finish has returned home from Logan, where she has been taking a course in home economics eco-nomics at the U. S. A. C. for the past two weeks. J. V. Robinson and Elbert D. Thomas are campaigning in Tooele county today. Charles A. Stain of Salt Lake City, Democratic condidate for state treasurer, " was a Provo visitor Thursday. Miss Edna Draper is vacationing in Salt Lake City for a. few days. Miss Mary Brown has returned home from Salt Lake City, where she has been visiting for the past two weeks.
