Speech Class Schedules Drama AMERICAN FORK "Papa Is AIL" three-act comedy written by Patterson Greene, will be presented pre-sented by the advance speech class of the American Fork high school Friday night, Dec. 9. The play will be given in the high school auditorium and curtain time is set for 8 p. m. Miss Beth Ovard, speech department de-partment head, is the director. Brickwork Completed on Combination Second Ward-Palmyra Stake Building SPANISH FORK Brickwork on tne new comDinaiion second ward chapel and Palmyra stake building was completed last week and rapid progress has been made on the roofing which is nearing completion, according to Bishop Ray Gull. Most of the recreation hall is now covered and supporting beams and rafters over the chapel portion of the bqilding have been covered with sheathing in preparation prep-aration for the final roofing. Work is progressing on other sections of the roof. Workmen are attempting at-tempting to have the building completely roofed before winter weather sets in so that inside work can go ahead during the winter. During completion of the brickwork, carpenters have been installing studding for classroom partitions, most of which are now complete on the ground floor. Electrical installations are also going ahead as the building progresses. pro-gresses. Bishop Gull said that another drive will be made in the near future to collect all outstanding assessments on the new building, so that the work can be completed com-pleted without any delay for lack of funds. SUNDAY HERALD Sunday, December 4, 1949 7 Kolob First Ward Schedules Bazaar SPRINGVILLE The annual! fair and homecoming celebration of the Kolob First ward will be held Wednesday in the ward amusement hall, according to Mrs. Cloyd Dalton, general chairman. A food sale beginning at 11:30 a. m. will open the festivities. The gift and clothing shop will be opened to the public beginning at 2 p. m. and will remain through-cut through-cut the afternoon and evening. A fish pond will also be open. Beginning Be-ginning at 6 p. m. a supper will be served by the Relief society for a nominal cost, and ward members, "ormer ward members and their friends are invited to participate. A floor show and dancing will highlight the evening's entertain ment.
