ANDREWS HEADS LINCOLN GRADS Officers for the alumni association associa-tion of the Lincoln high school were elected at the annual alumni al-umni day held at the school Friday. Fri-day. Max Andrews was named president; Alta Clinger, vice-president; vice-president; Miriam Partridge, retary; Wilford Gillespie, athletic manager and Maurine Bigelow, reporter. An assembly was held in the forenoon with Phil Christensen as chairman. The school pep song was sung and the address of welcome was made by Marvin Perry, student body president. Music was furnished by a string trio: Max Andrews, Ruth Stark and Owen Ford. Weldon Taylor, in charge made a few remarks and a whistling solo was given by Miss Lorna Wentz. Principal Karl Banks gave reminiscences re-miniscences of the old student body after which 'a vocal duet was sung by Miss Nadine Johnson John-son and Miss Afton Taylor. BUDGET OKEHED , SPANISH FORK At a publiq hearing held on the proposed bud- get for -Spanish Fork city for 1934; at the city council chamber last week it was decided to approve the proposed budget totalling, $63,300. which s $1,600, less than that of 1933. The reduction - is not alone on one .particular, department but is more a general reduction in all departments. The apportionments of the budget follows: Electric light department $27,500; water works $5,000: irrigation $1,300; streets $2,100; library, $1,000.
