Ben Robinson wins second Mr. Uintah title By Casey Christbisem Express Writer The 18th annual Mr. Uintah title was taken for the second year by Ben Robinson in what Contest Director Gregg Stens-gard Stens-gard called one of the toughest fields ever. The 41 competitors were separated into seven groups and judged on their muscle composition, mass and stage presence. "Some of the groups were very difficult to judge, " explained Stensgard. "It was good to see - all these kids developing healthy 1 lifestyles. Stensgard is trying to find sponsors to help him travel to Russia for the competition. He explained he has to pay most of his way, but is in the process of working it all out. First singles Brock Gessell took fifth. Second singles Taylor Peterson played some of his best tennis of the year. He had two tough matches against Judge and Park City. He lost to Park City in the consolation bracket in a tough three-set match and ended up taking fourth. Lance Hansen was Uintah's top finisher, taking third place at the third singles position. Both doubles teams had an easy time in their first round matches, both beating Waterford 6-1, 6-1. In the second round, the first doubles team of Jeff Struthers and Chad Young came up against a tough Park City team and lost. In the consolation consola-tion bracket, they played tough against Wasatch coming up just a little short. They finished in fourth place. Uintah's second doubles, again had to face a tough Park City team in the second round and in the consolation bracket had to play Judge. They took fourth place. ' , All of the varsity team qualified quali-fied for the state tournament this weekend at BYU. Uintah also had a strong showing in the Region 10 junior varsity tournament.
