Shar-ron, Shar-ron, our best friend, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and relative of many left this world suddenly on June 23, 2007. She died at Flaming Gorge on the boat she loved so well. Sharron graduated from Uintah High School in 1965 and married Dale Lee, the love of her life, on Feb. 18, 1967. They recently celebrated their 40th anniversary; everything they did was for one another - they were the center of each other's lives. Theylivedinvariousplaces until settling down in Vernal in the mid-1970s. Sharron did many kinds of work, including work at doctors' offices; painting and wall-papering many homes in Vernal with her mother-in-law Marie Lee; at Wal-Mart for several years and most recently, with Ed Hacking at State Farm Insurance. She loved music and could play the accordion and piano, and she had a beautiful singing voice. She sewed all of her own clothes in high school as well as clothes for other people; had an eye for home-decorating; enjoyed crochet, oil-painting, tole-painting; and most recently spent time beading bracelets and anklets just for the joy of giving them away. Sharron also volunteered for the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo for more than 25 years and was awarded for Volunteer of the Year in 2004. She could talk to anybody and could fix darned near anything! Sharron and Dale bought their first boat in 1995 and kept trading them up to bigger boats until she found the one she loved. From the time the boat could be launched at Flaming Gorge in early summer until they brought it home in late fall, she spent every free minute on the boat, even if it never left the dock. It was her place to un-wind from a stressful life and her place of peace. Sharron and Dale loved to entertain family and friends on the boat and loved to take them sightseeing on Flaming Gorge. Sharron is survived by husband, hus-band, Dale Lee; daughter, Tracey (Ron) Dickerson of Moab; son, Benjamin (Rose) of Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, N.M.; step-daughter, Cindy (Scott) Nelson of Rock Springs, Wyo. ; brothers, Stephen Sharp of Kellog, Idaho and Kevan Sharp of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and sister, sis-ter, Debbie Pflieger ofVernal; five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. "In fact, they don't just do some things, they doeverything," said 2007 rodeo committee president, presi-dent, Dennis Mott. He was overheard saying that the DRR is "known for its volunteerism, it is No. 1 out of 150 rodeos across the country." Mott said, "I don't think anybody realizes how big this job putting on the DRR Rodeo really re-ally is. It 's a full-time job, and if it weren't for the volunteers, nothing noth-ing would get accomplished." Volunteers, all 300 strong, have and will contribute to the grounds work, hospitality, parking, park-ing, sales of rodeo merchandise and tickets, putting up hay and grain for the livestock and still have time to work the kick-off parade. "Some people will use their vacation time to volunteer for the rodeo," said Mott. "In the end, Vernal benefits from thousands of volunteer rodeo-hours." In recognition, rec-ognition, one such contributor, Doreen Hunting, will be named the 2007 Rodeo Volunteer of the Year. "You can't believe what all our generous volunteers have donated donat-ed besides their time," declared Mott. "We've had people donate the use of forklifts, backhoes, and bucket trucks."
