Show A4 Wednesday, August 1 1 , 2004 Vernal Express Obituaries Miles Hall Miles Hall, age 88, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Uintah Care Center. Miles was born Nov. 25, 1915 to Iowa Jefferson Hall and Mindwell Adams Hall. He married his sweetheart and lifetime companion, Buelah Murray on June 30, 1938 in Craig, Colo. She passed away October 19, 2003. Miles worked for American Gilsonite Company, Standard Oil, McCullough Oil Tools and Mt. Fuel Supply (Questar Gas) where he retired after twenty years. He was a master craftsman and a perfectionist at every job he held. Whatever he did, he did it well. He was a warehouseman ware-houseman for Questar where he ran a very tight ship and could account for every gallon of gas or nut and bolt that left the warehouse. Miles and Buelah had beautiful yards and gardens. They always shared the flowers and produce they raised with all their neighbors. He loved to hunt; he had trophy deer heads to show his expertise. He was also an avid bowler and loved to pitch quarters. Miles is preceded in death by his wife, Buelah, his parents, Iowa and Mindwell Hall, brothers. Emmet and Roscoe Hall, his sisters, Marie Atwood, Lamar Karren, and Reva Bodily. Miles is survived by sis- Ethel B. AuMiller Ethel B. AuMiller, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great grandmother grandmoth-er passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Uintah Care Center at the age of 95. Ethel was born in Gusher, on April 8, 1909 to George Dickson and Eliza Wall Dickson. She was the fourth child of six daughters and two sons. George Dickson was a government builder who raised his family in Et. Duchesne. Ethel married Harry AuMiller on May 12, 1925 at Ft. Duchense. Ethel and Harry had three children, Lawrence, George and Judy. The family moved to Jensen in 1944 where they owned and operated1 the Jensen Mercantile General Store on Highway 40. Ethel and Harry divorced after thirty years of marriage. mar-riage. Ethel continued to operate the Jensen Mercantile until 1963, but she continued to live in Jensen until 1979 when she moved to Vernal. Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, George and Eliza, her brothers, broth-ers, Raymond and James, her sisters, Belle Kimbal, Helen Felter, and Mary Miller, her sons, Lawrence and George, and her granddaughter, granddaugh-ter, Micki Lynn AuMiller. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and George Weldon, her grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Carla and Ted Roloff, Nettie Adrienne Elizabeth Hall Leishman Adrienne Elizabeth Hall Leishman, age 25, passed away unexpectedly on August 9 , 2004. Adrienne was born on May 11, 1979 to Clark M. and Candance Fletcher Hall of Venial. She is the cherished wife of Adam Goold Leishman. Adam and Adrienne were sealed for time and all eternity on June 20, 2003. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal LDS 8th Ward Chapel (1270 W. 1500 S.) Friends and family may call on Friday, August 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomson-Blackburn Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at the chapel. The Family of Jared Garcia: Vikki, Sage, Amy, Brylee, Kelby, Dalleti, Brieton, Jade, Wayne and Shirley Bullock; and Bill and Arleen Thomson. Funeral services were held Monday, August 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Burial was located in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction direc-tion of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Whitney Weldon, Dylan Weldon, and Ashton Weldon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at II a.m. at the Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends greeted family on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Burial will be located in the Roosevelt City Cemetery. Volunteers are needed to provide a quality outdoor experience for Con Amore Fishing Day. Con Amore students warm up to Smokey Bear which, besides fishing is one of the many highlights of the day. Besides providing a fire prevention pre-vention message, other activities include meeting a Rosebud Llamas Utah llama, coloring, a scavenger hunt, and rock throwing. Pet of the Week ! 'ti : - " ... Grab your fishing pole and join Con Amore Fishing Day! Dinosaurland RC&D is pleased to announce that this special event is Friday, Sept. 17 in Rock Creek on the Ashley National Forest. Approximately 90 students from Con Amore School, including the pre-school, will be participating in this fun-filled day. Con Amore is located 10 miles west of Roosevelt in Myton. This school, which is part of Duchesne County School District, provides a learning environment for students with a wide range of disabilities as well as pre-schoolers. The mission of the school is to develop a sense of dignity, independence and self-worth self-worth for each student. Con Amore Fishing Day has become a tradition for the students to have some fun in the great outdoors. out-doors. Each student is assigned a "buddy" for the day. Students and buddies then have the opportunity to participate in many of the planned activities, eat lunch, and then enjoy a day of fishing, bird watching, or just taking in the fresh air and scenery. scen-ery. Naples shows historic patriotism Historic flags of the United States are adorning Highway 40 through Naples City. The flag style banners cover such momentous momen-tous American periods as Betsy Ross, a 76'er, Bennington, Star Spangled Banner and Old Glory. Naples City Administrator Craig Blunt says the flags were purchased by the Naples City Redevelopment Agency and Bruce Lee and Dene Yoder prepared pre-pared the patriotic highway display. B li b.
