Starve the flu season With summer winding down and children going back to school, cold and flu season is just around the corner. So along with school clothes, it's time to put together a preventative nutrition program. Two strong herbs for strengthening the immune system are Echinacea and Elderberry. These herbs can be taken tak-en separately or together, depending on the needs. There has been over 350 clinical tests done on the benefits bene-fits of echinacea and these tests show it can be taken at the first sign of cold and flu symptoms or by cycling cy-cling on and off the herb every eight weeks. Elderberry has been used for generations as a folk remedy in treating both colds and the flu. Only recently have studies been done to show its scientific benefits, as well. When choosing which brand to use always look for quality and longevity. Remember to consult a physician before starting any herbal product for any possible reactions to medications or health conditions. BED & BREAKFAST 28S E. 100 S.
