NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PREVENTION OF SIGNIFICANT DETERIORATION The Air Quality Board proposes changes in R307-1-1, Foreword and Definitions, and in R307-1-3.6, Prevention of Significant Sig-nificant Deterioration, to replace increment limits for Total suspended Particulates Par-ticulates (TSP) with new federal increment requirements re-quirements for fine particulates par-ticulates (PM10). Under the Clean Air Act, states have 9 months from June 3, 1994, the date of federal feder-al promulgation of the new increments, to revise their rules to implement these provisions. Proposed Pro-posed amendments to R307-1-1 change the definitions def-initions for "baseline date" and "net enmis-sions enmis-sions increase." The new annual PM10 increments are an arithmetic mcar. of 4, 17 and 34 for Class I, II, and III areas, respectively, respec-tively, and a 24 -hour maximum of 8. 30, and 60 respectively. Other changes in R307-1-3.6 clarify that baseline areas established for TSP remain re-main in effect for PM10 and that minor source baseline dates established for TSP remain in effect for PM10, with some exceptions. ex-ceptions.
