The bride to be is the daughter of David and Vickie Temples and Ronnie Ron-nie and Marsha Jackson of Vernal. Mark's parents are Gary and Lois Scott, also of Vernal. Teressa is attending Uintah High School and Mark is employed at Galley Construction. A reception will follow the wedding at 7 p.m. at the same location. The couple will be making their home in Vernal. Sibling classes offered at Duchesne Co. Leaders, including Ilene Hamblin, Barbara Haslem, Shana Witbeck, Doris Humphries, Judy Murray and Martha Ann Cooper, were motivated and instructed about new 4-H programs pro-grams and opportunities available for our youth. These leaders want to share their newly acquired knowledge with the local 4-H leaders. Youth kick off drug campaign Local youth groups such as Federation Against Drugs (FAD) and Energetic Elevators who back the PRIDE program have instigated a number of activities to promote awareness of, and to stop juvenile drug use. Performances have been given at local elementary schools geared to giving the younger set skills in recognizing the harmful effects of drugs and how to say no to peer pressure. Saturday, May 17, the youth will meet for a poster party at 11 a.m. where informational advertisements about their efforts will be placed in downtown Vernal. Monday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. the PRIDE groups will sponsor a special showing of "Snowstorm in the Jungle," a film which is very graphic in its message about cocaine's destructive force on people's lives in South America and to those in the U.S. who are the major patrons of the drug. The movie was filmed by Jean Michel Costeau among the people who grow, use and distribute the drug in South America. The film will be shown at the Vernal Junior High auditorium, free of charge. Performances of "Snow White and the Seven Druggies," will be given Monday at Ashley Elementary, 10 a.m.; Vernal Junior High at 11:30 a.m. and Vernal Middle School at 1 p.m. On Tuesday the program will be given at Central Elementary at 11 a.m. Thursday they will participate in a National Walk Against Drugs Day. The march will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Vernal Junior High and end at Colton Pavilion with a rally and special speakers. This will be followed by a Kool-Aide Kegger and water balloon fights. Friday, May 23 will be the Utah Federation Against Drugs Community Communi-ty Dance at Vernal Junior High from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Music will be provided by "Mammoth."
