Kaylyn and Wade had their picture on the front ings both pressure and pain on those making the arrangements. Nuptials have evolved in the past couple of generations to individualized, and unique ceremonies, but most are still based on the long standing rules of wedding etiquette. Most who have been through the planning and initiation stages of a wedding say they would readily encourage en-courage a second daughter, niece or relative to "elope". Some even offer bribes and premiers if the girls will agree to elopement. All seem to relent, however and most say, "it was worth the trouble." Getting down to the actual planning plann-ing of a "perfect wedding" is usually approached with a list. Many books of advice have been prepared by wedding experts to guide brides-to-be and their families and those of her intended. in-tended. They cover the list, or lists of things to do like: choosing a place for the wedding, visiting the clergyman, planning the reception, choosing wedding attendants, making an invitation in-vitation list, how to use a bridal registry, choosing a wedding gown, attendants dresses and men's formal wear, getting a photographer, printer, florist, and caterer, where to spend a honeymoon, planning your trousseau, recording and displaying your wedding gifts, getting attendants atten-dants gifts, picking wedding rings, and how to get a marriage license. Hold on, there Is more: pick a wedding wed-ding cake, plan pre-wedding parties, choose a ceremony, and decide who pays for what, Kaylyn Hacking of Vernal, who soon w ill become a bride, graciously consented to share the story of her wedding preparations with our readers. She and Wade Nerby will be married April 6 at the residence of family friends, Matt and Sharon Skerl. Wednesdoy, April V , f. : , . 4 : t . She said Wade, who is usually rather shy, tapped tap-ped her on the shoulder and they have dated regularly since. They enjoy en-joy tennis, golf and raquetball. "Kaylyn has always wanted a simple sim-ple wedding. In fact she always said she would get married in the summer and have a hamburger fry," said her mother. "Everything we needed to complete com-plete the wedding plans was available in Vernal, Mrs. Hacking explained. "However, we had to shop in Salt Lake for a dress that suited Kaylyn. We just couldn't find the right one here." Kaylyn says she always has a picture pic-ture in her mind of what she wants before shopping. "I just know it when I see it," she said, and that was the way it was when she found her dress atZCMI. Wade and Kaylyn became engaged in October of 1384. She was attending College at Utah State and he was employed in Vernal by Cameron Iron Works. Their marriage plans wcr set so Kaylyn would have her degre in Elementary Education In hand and could apply for work where Wade was assigned. This turned out to be Casper, Wyoming where they w ill make their first home. Mrs. Hacking and Karen sat down to make their "list" while Karen w as home for Christmas break. Invitation lists were one of their fir&l prioriiies. Several other items for the wedding wed-ding were also found at the Chalet. The store features a full line of bridal accessories such as the wedding book, feathered pen and garters and hankies for the bride. A two tier wedding cake designed by Donna Merrell for the couple, will have a special top layer to save and share on their first anniversary. The photographer for the Hacking, Nerby wedding will be JoAnn Gilbert who was Kaylyn's teacher at Uintah High School. Decorations for the wedding will be kept at a minimum, according to Mrs. Hacking. They are fortunate to have the lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. Skerl as a setting for the wedding. "The Skerl's are 'thrilled' 'thrill-ed' that they may host the wedding," said Mrs. Hacking. Other family and friends attending the bride and groom will be: Jeff Shaffer as best man, and Kaylyn's sisters in law, Lesha and Kathy Hacking at the guest book. Wade and his best man arranged for their own black traditional tuxedos tux-edos and Mr. Hacking, who is a member of the Elks, arranged for chairs. "The best things the men have done for us is foot the bill and go along with our plans," Mrs. Hacking quipped. Kaylyn and Wade will exchange vows at a traditional ceremony with Bishop Loren Merrell of the Naples 2nd Ward officiating. Their wedding has been kepi simple and homey by their own design, and is geared for enjoyment by family and friends.
