On Saturday, Nov. 28, the Police Department logged two disorderly conduct cases in quick succession on Main Street. The first one was reported at 11:56 p.m. and reportedly involved a man at a side door. He was detained, but it was not clear from public police logs whether officers or security guards detained him. The other case was reported at 11:59 p.m. at a Main Street nightclub. At 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, meanwhile, a woman, described as wearing a black beanie and a gray coat, reportedly ripped another woman's glasses off and scratched her somewhere along Main Street. The Police Department classified the case as a suspected assault. Earlier that day, at 4:12 p.m., a band reportedly was heard playing at a loud volume on the 2100 block of Sidewinder Drive. The Police Department classified the case as disturbing the peace. Other reports last week included disorderly conduct cases on Prospector Avenue at 4:09 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26 and a disorderly conduct case on the 600 block of Main Street at 1:33 a.m. on Nov. 26. A suspected intoxication case was reported at 12:55 a.m. on Main Street on Nov. 26 as well. The vehicle was parked close to the Old Town roundabout, the police were told. The Police Department indicated the vehicle created a traffic hazard. The Police Department and Summit County Animal Control were contacted regarding a rabbit that was seen somewhere along Round Valley Drive. The two agencies were called to free the rabbit, but public police logs did not provide details about the animal's situation. The call was logged at 9:21 a.m. A security door was found smashed somewhere along Empire Avenue at 8:43 a.m., the police were told. Someone used a snow shovel to damage the door overnight, according to the police. Nothing was taken from inside, though, the police said. The Police Department classified the case as criminal mischief. On Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7:05 p.m., Park City transit staffers reported two vehicles were parked in a no-parking area along Park Avenue. The parked vehicles interfered with buses, the police were told. A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on Snow Creek Drive at 6:56 p.m. The victim apparently noticed the damage while leaving work. Public police logs did not provide details. A dog described as large and with white fur reportedly "charged" at someone along Holiday Ranch Loop Road at 5:42 p.m. The dog went back to its owner's home, the police were told. A wallet was found at the Old Town transit center at 2:49 p.m. Police dispatchers contacted the owner, who sent a family member to retrieve the wallet. A vehicle was hit in a parking lot somewhere along Bonanza Drive, apparently in the overnight hours. The police received the report at 9:08 a.m. There was "significant damage" to the vehicle, the police were told. Nobody left a note with information about the other driver, the police said. On Friday, Nov. 27 at 5:54 p.m., a driver hit a deer somewhere along Park Avenue. Nobody was injured, the police said. Public police logs did not provide details about the animal's condition. On Thursday, Nov. 26, two non-injury traffic accidents were reported. One was logged at 4:54 p.m. in the Iron Horse district while the other one was reported at 12:15 p.m. on Lowell Avenue. On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11:56 p.m., a man apparently stole beer on Sidewinder Drive. The person's credit card was declined, leading the man to run, the police said. The Police Department classified the case as a suspected theft. A wallet was found somewhere along Park Avenue and then reported to the police at 11:20 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 9:44 a.m., the police received a complaint that someone was seen standing inside a condominium along Deer Valley Drive when the person inside woke up. The person who was seen standing then ran out of the condominium, the police were told. On Monday. Nov. 23 at 11:20 a.m., an identity-theft case was reported on Estates Drive. Public police logs did not provide details. on Dec. 18. The application includes questions such as the perceived mission of the Planning Commission and the three issues someone sees as being of prime importance to the panel. It asks for positions on the issues. The City Council appoints members of the Planning Commission. The elected officials typically hold interviews with the candidates prior to a selection. Applications are available on the City Hall website, www. parkcity.org. Select ‘Planning Commission Position Available' on the front page of the site. They are also available at the Planning Department. The department had not received an application by Monday morning.
