Grose and her fellow directors, George Dymalski and Libby Wadman, want the public to rest assured that, despite the departure of long-time executive director Frank Normile and the current economic climate, the Film Series is not going anywhere. The new season kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. with a screening of "Mrs. Goundo's Daughter," the story of a mother's battle for political asylum in the U.S. and her quest to protect her daughter and other young women from genital mutilation. Filmmakers and human rights leaders will be on hand for a discussion following the film. Tickets for regular screenings are $7 for adults or $6 for students and seniors. A 10pass punch card is $50. Prices for special screenings are listed online. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
