The Town Lift is open noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon t o 5 p.m. Sunday. Hours will change on Sept 8; summer activities will close on Oct. 18. DEER VALLEY Lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides will continue operating weekends only after Labor Day through Sept. 13 (conditions permitting). PHOTO COURTESY OF WES ODELL Northeastern University freshman Nicole Bishop, a 2009 Park City High School graduate, has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Bishop had an impressive debut for the Huskies as she totaled 19 blocks to help Northeastern to two wins at the Madison Bingman Memorial Tournament in Baltimore. Bishop posted eight blocks in a 3-0 victory over Long Island in the opening game of the tournament. She followed that up with an ll-block, six- kill performance^ a tightly contested 3-2 win over University of Maryland, Baltimore County to help the Huskies take the tournament crown.
