Show Soldier dad loves to fly, vacation I 1 - 1 v -i t t MAX KIEFFER BOUNTIFUL Five daughters, one son and one granddaughter grand-daughter on the way is how Max Kieffer describes his children. The Clipper Great Dad from Bountiful likes to fly and go on trips with his family. Unfortunately, the trip he took this summer forced him to leave his family behind. Max is in the 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion in the National Guard. He was activated and spent three months in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait City during the recent Desert Storm conflict. After that experience, it is easy to understand why Max claims that all of his vacations with his family have been great. He did especially enjoy one vacation that included a family reunion in St. George. "We were all together," explained Max. Along with flying and fishing, Max considers raising a big family as part of his hobby. Raising such a family is not something a dad does only when he is in the mood. "Teen-agers need a lot of patience and understanding,' claims Max. This Clipper Great Dad may appear ap-pear to be a bit of a romantic with his dream car being a Lamborgini Cortage, while his favorite song is 'Smoke Gets in Your Eyes but he comes right back to earth when someone mentions a shiimp dinner, especially an all-you-can-eat shrimp dinner. Max picked his favorite time of day as 'sleep time. This is very understandable when he explains, "There's not much of that with three teen-agers and other children who think they are." Max considers himself to be a medium disciplinarian. He works hard at settling disagreements between be-tween his children fairly, and that is no easy task. However he labels himself, it seems to be working just fine. The Max Kieffer family was very proud to nominate their Great Dad for an award. |
