Show Local students awarded presidential scholarships composite ACT score of at least 27 and maintained a 3.7 grade point average in high school. Ten winners' were selected after interviews wi h university faculty members and staff. The Presidential Honors Scholarships, Scholar-ships, presented in honor of former Weber State presidents, provide free tuition for four years, a stipend of $335 per academic quarter and on-campus housing. Two Davis County high school students have captured Presidential Honors Scholarships awarded by Weber Slate University. The education grants, worth up to $13,356 over a four-year period, were won by seniors from Laylon and Bountiful high schools. One recipient of the Weber State Presidential Honor Scholorships is Russ Rampton, son of Kent and Darla Rampton of Layton, from Layton High. He is a member of the newspaper staff. Academic Olympiad, Olym-piad, debate team, the National Honor Society, and the Chemistry Club. The other recipient of the award is James Nichols, son of Karen Nichols of Bountiful, from Bountiful Boun-tiful High. He plays football, is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Eagle Scout.
