Last year, the Council Coun-cil raised several thousand dollars through the sale of T-shirts. Because of the great support of that sale, a newly-designed, full-color full-color shirt has been produced for this year. The design was donated by city resident Kirk Monson. This fund-raising project allows the Youth Council to assist the city in projects such as the annual Easter Egg hunt, establishment of a scholarship schol-arship fund, donation this past year of a flag pole for the City Cemetery, installation of a handicap ramp at the city offices, and donation to the Sub for Santa program. The Youth Council ordered 1 150 shirts for this year, and sales have been brisk so far. Each shirt costs $6.00, with family discounts available. They can be purchased at the Centerville City offices, at Albertson's in Centerville, or from any Youth Council member. The T-shirts will be sold through July 4th as a fund raiser for the Council. (Clipper photo by Tom Haraldsen) |
