By MARK EDDINGTON Staff Writer FARMINGTON A 20-year-old city resident who threatened his girlfriend with a knife was sentenced sentenc-ed Thursday to spend three weekends week-ends in the Davis County Jail and pay a $400 fine. Brian Wood, of 621 S. 200 West, pleaded guilty last month to a reduced charge of attempted aggravated ag-gravated assault, a Class A misdemeanor misde-meanor in a plea bargain arrangement arrange-ment between the defendant's attorney, at-torney, George Fadel, and the prosecuting pros-ecuting attorney, W. Carvel Har-ward. Har-ward. Wood was originally charged with a third degree felony, punishable by up to five years imprisonment im-prisonment and a $5,000 fine, but prosecutors agreed to reduce the charge in exchange for a guilty plea. Fadel said the altercation took place when his client attempted a reconciliation with his girlfriend after she demanded he move out of their apartment. Fadel alleges the |
