Show Steve Young to host 'smile' golf tourney BOUNTIFUL The Rocky j Mountain Chapter of Operation Smile International will again stage the season 's premiere i sports event for Davis County. Steve Young of the San Fran- T cisco 49'ers will host the second annual Steve YoungOperation I Smile Celebrity Golf Touma- ment. Young has invited some of his j teammates from the 49'ers along with friends from the NFL, NBA, PGA and other profes- I sional sports to join him for a I day of golf. Included in the group of celebrities will be local TV ? sports anchors, collegiate athletes, amateur golfers and pol- ; itical figures. They, along with I the individuals and businesses I that support Operation Smile, 4 will make up the field of play for this event. The play will begin at 9 a.m. on June 17 under the scramble format with a shotgun start. Each foursome will have a celebrity as part of its team. Last year's first place team came from Dick's Market, with Roger Ruzek of the Philadelphia Eagles as team captain. Craig Bolerjack of KSL-TV won the putting contest, and Rich Haws the long drive. Anyone can reserve a place in the field of play with a minimum contribution of $150 to Operation Opera-tion Smile.
