Wanczyk wins car at fair Attending the Davis Applied Technology Center Career Fair on Feb. 12 paid off for Brooke Wanczyk. Wanc-zyk. She not only attended an informative in-formative seminar about health careers ca-reers in the future, but she now has j her own car as a result. Brooke won the grand prize, an older model Thunderbird car, donated do-nated by Dan Eastman JeepEagle, sponsor of the Davis School DistrictDATC Career Fair. The car will help her commute to school and to her clinicals. Clinical s are required health care experiences for her DATC Health Occupations class. They are held in various health care facilities throughout Davis County. The grand prize automobile was conditioned and repaired by DATC students in the automotive technology department. Lynn Heaps, instructor, said students have been repairing the car for several months. According to Heaps, this was a good learning experience for the students, and all were hoping that they would be the lucky winner. Almost a thousand people attended at-tended the Career Fair. Plans are under way to make this informative evening an annual event for Davis County students and adults. |
