Katie Bastian, Muir Elementary, and Ben Greenfield, Oak Hills Elementary, were also honored for their musicality. Nine hundred students from two high schools, three junior highs and nine elementary schools entered various types of art in the district competition and judges said choosing choos-ing just one from each age division and art category was difficult due to the quality of work submitted. As a result, Susie Allied, the South Davis Council coordinator, explained that the judges had decided decid-ed to award honorable mentions.
