Show Met baritone scheduled for recital appearance : , Raymond Michalski, Metropolitan Metropoli-tan Opera bass-baritone, will sing in Kingsbury Hall Monday at 8 p.m. He will appear in a recital open to the public under the banner of the University Artists-Civic Music Association. Still a young man, Mr. Michalski made his debut at the Met in 1965 after a recital career that centered on Philharmonic Hall in New York City and the American Opera Society. When the new Metropolitan Opera opened at Lincoln Center, he created the role of Alexas in Samuel Barber's "Anthony and Cleopatra." Now among the busiest of the Met's singers, he has appeared in "Lucia di Lammermoor," "Turandot," "Romeo et Juliette," "Tosca," "II Trovatore," "Rigoletto" and many others. Following his performance as the king in "Aida," Irving Kolodin of the Saturday Review wrote: "Raymond Michalski, who doesn't seem to know how to do otherwise, sang beautifully." He won first prize in the International In-ternational Music Festival in Munich several years ago, has won two Rockefeller grants, and last spring was soloist with the New York Philharmonic under Pierre Boulez in the Stravinsky Memorial Concert.
