The guard from West Hempstead, New York has broken the 13-year-old record' which was held by Billy McCill.' It was when Tomlin came through and scored his 43rd point against Brigham Young freshman Saturday that he surpassed the 13-year-old record. That was a big game for Tomlin when he finished with his career high of 51 points. Now Tomlin takes a 30.3 scoring average into the team's final two games this week. Even if Tomlin doesn't score a single point he will still hold the frosh scoring record. Friday night the frosh goes against Dixie College at 5:15. Saturday night at 5:15 the frosh play the Treasure Valley Junior College. The freshman enter the competition with a record of five wins and 11 losses. In the limelight with 'Nard will be Dean Porter, and Ted Madsen. Both hold second place in team scoring. Porter leads the team in rebounding with a 10.1 average.
