Show Frisbee team to represent U BY NEWTON NIMROD STITH Unicle Staff The Athletic Department of the University announced the organization organi-zation of a Frisbee team. The team will perform Thursday in the Special Events Center at 1 : 30 in a special preview of their new coach, John Vooden. The team is composed of ten palyers, and each has a specialty in launching techniques of the famous Frisbees. As of Wednesday, Wednes-day, there were still eight openings open-ings available on the team. If you are interested in joining the team attend a try-out today at 11 a.m. on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Only two players are assured of a position on the new squad. One is a recent transfer student from Washington D.C. He is a professional profes-sional at hitting people, or objects, ob-jects, from any distance. (But usually short distances are better.) His name is Spiro Agnew. Coach Vooden commented on his lack of mental capacity but stated that Spiro will make up for this deficiency defi-ciency in his desire to hit people with things. The other Frisbee thrower is a transfer student from Mexico City. Emanule Marijuana hails from the mountains surrounding Mexico City, and comes to our team as the high throwing champion cham-pion of Mexico. He really can keep his frisbees flying high. |
