Show Microbiology discontinued as a maor The Department of Microbio-' Microbio-' logy will be cutting all under-' under-' graduate classes in the near future, i according to Lowell A. Glasgow, ' chairman of the department. The present undergraduate classes are not listed under any college and are unbudgeted and unfunded. As a result of priorities, the College of Sciences has decided de-cided to discontinue undergraduate under-graduate microbiology classes and eliminate the major. This should only effect between bet-ween 15 and 20 students a year. Some of the students already enrolled en-rolled wanted to campaign to prevent the action. Dr. Glasgow assured them that the cut will not effect them. Beginning next year, microbiology will not be an accepted major. The classes were used primarily as an introduction to microbiology micro-biology and for those planning to attend medical school. |
