Show Groups request official recognition Three groups requested first year recognition of the Committee on Student Affairs. The Gum Gum Productions, group of artists "to create and sponsor a new group life style" - to have programs to make up mixed media and artist situations; the Crazy Horse Com-munon, Com-munon, a religious group "without the encumberances normally imposed im-posed upon it with all present, structured religion"; and the Peace Fellowship of the University, a group "to promote the ideology of world peace". The LDSSA requested clearing for the fund-raising stomp, April 18, in the Union Ballroom, $1 admission with the proceeds pro-ceeds to go to Outreach, Boys Ranch, Youngstown. Also there will be an activities Carnival at the' East Institute. Edward C. Williams, authorized by the Christian Science Church Board of Lectureship in Boston, Mass. is scheduled to speak April 28, in the Union Den at 7 p.m. on "Freedom and True Identity". The speech will be followed by question and answer period. A hearing was held regarding a University Christian Movement complaint about not being able to reserve a room in the Union on March 2 for the visit of Mrs. Elena Dillon. The problem cited was directed against Ernest Bebb, director of the Union. Despite the definition de-finition of membership, where the general campus community is directly direct-ly or indirectly invited, the clearing of Student Affairs is required. Ernest Bebb did not feel that only members or immediate guests responsible re-sponsible to the University Christian Moyemet would be in attendance, attend-ance, hence the general campus community. |
