Show Student fees net ASUU 494,479.40; budget changed "The final Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) income from student fees is $494,479.40." stated Doug Richards, chairman chair-man of the ASUU Finance Board at the last meeting of Fall quarter. Richards made note of the three major changes in the budget as approved by the Apportionment Board in June, 1969. 1) The college of business Executive Council was apportioned $600 to aid with their student stu-dent publication; 2) Judo Club was apportioned $200, their first apportionment; apport-ionment; and 3) KUTE received a cut in their apportioned funds, from $7,000 to $3,500. This decision was made by the ASUU Executive Council. Coun-cil. Clarifications of the budget made notice of the cut of $1000 to the Utonian, and the Pen budget was cut from $4,100 to $1,800. The Pen will be published annually rather than quarterly. Included in Professional Week appropriation is that for Engineering Week ($450) and Business Week $850). The $850 is in addition to the $600 allocation to the College of Business Executive Council. University President, James C. Fletcher, emphasized the importance of establishing establish-ing a rational for allocating money to the College of Business and not the other colleges. The University Museum was apportioned $4,000, it extends to students stu-dents the privilege of visiting the Museum free of charge. The Homecoming Budget received a $1,000 increase, as the Alumni Association did not support Homecoming to the extent it has in the past. Research and a report are to be in for the next Board meeting, January 23, concerning appropriation of funds by the Outreach Program. |
