Show the new music BY STEVE POULSON Entertainment Writer Events The Fifth Dimension will appear in concert Friday night at BYU. BYU student identification will not be required to get in (in-cidently, (in-cidently, the Fifth Dimension will be performing at the University, March 28). Gary Pucketl: Friday and Saturday Sa-turday night Valley Music Hall will present one of the most outstanding out-standing members of a new generation gener-ation of vocalists. Gary Puckett will sing with his group, The Union Gap. The group is responsible responsi-ble for such hits as "Woman, Woman," and "Young Girl." Stomp: Big Sky Country and Sunday will play in the Union Ballroom Satruday night. The group Sunday, with a change of drummers, and the addition of Wayne Cook- an excellent musician musi-cian and very stylish interpretation interpreta-tion of blues. Big Sky Country will play from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, from 10 p.m. to midnight. The Old Mill: One of Salt Lake's best bar groups will play the Mill this weekend. The four piece band, Purple Ha.e, has a very clean, tight sound featuring some exceptional vocals. A weekend to remember is the 25th thru 27th when the Mill will bring in two excellent bands from the Coast. On the 25th, the Flamin' Groovies will bring their enthusiastic sound, reminiscent of the "happy" style of early rock and roll. The versatile Bigfoot, now playing at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in L.A. will play the 26th and the 27th. These bands are exceptional, ex-ceptional, both having released albums al-bums recently. P.S.
