Show Write in presidential choice , don't endorse lesser evil But, Old-Party Republicans decided Americans could swallow a "re-hashed Eisenhower," a re-upholstered Nixon if he promised to "law 'n' order" peace demonstrators off the streets. But, Old -Party Democrats decided Americans could nod at a "re-verbalized Johnson," a liberal, wide-eyed and fast-talking Humphrey if he kept mumbling something about being his "own man." White-sheeted Racist But facist, monied-business interests decided Americans could actually demand a white-sheeted racist, a conservative and snarl-drawling Wallace if he promised to put a well-armed cop-on-every-corner. And, some Americans, because of their -responsibility," are going to swaitow, nod Jactully domand one of the three. Want A Say As evidenced by Peace and Freedom Party, honest "Clean Gene" and American Independent Party grass-roots support this "eas, Americans want a say in individual as well as national, destiny. In other words, Americans want a democracy. Since democracy by definition is "government by tba people, this yur people had hoped to eliminate by OW-Party selfk intefests," "government by facists" and all other redefinitions. Defeatist "Duty" to vote--to consciously select "the lesser of the Evils"--has been systematically pounded into American citizens' heads since voting began. To rationalize, "no one is ever totally satisfied with the candidate selection, anyway" is defeatist-why not? Certainly, voters will ever be satisfied with their "alternatives" as long as the candidates are programmed for them. Certainly, too. voters will never be totally satisfied as long as they perpetuate the Evil system by blindly, but dutifully, voting for it each and every election year. Not "choosing" an Evil does not mean boycotting the polls, it means writing in an alternative, individually chosen. It means carefully selecting-with individually desired criteria-local candidates that campaign honestly on issues. It means voting on propositions that will openly permit individual citizen to democraticiUly govern their lives. Tb American responsibility is to rcluro to honesty, not to continue on with Kil r Evil or Evil. Take your picb- |
