Show Republicans Prepare Democratic Dinner By DAVE ROWLAND Chronicle Staff Writer Several waitresses dashed around from place to place making sure every detail of their work was as flawless as possible. Linen table cloths had earlier been thrown on each wooden table, unfolded and laid out. The silverware followed. Soup dishes shortly took their places alongside and efficient, for others it was similarly frantic though executed a bit the knives, forks and spoons. The pace for some waitresses was frantic more clumsily, and for still others the pace was curiously relaxed witli an air that there was really nothing to do.
