Show 'Running Redskins' Promise Excitement By MIKE JACOBSEN Clironicle Sports Writer Redskin basketball fans who like to see plenty of action are in for a real show this year because Jack Gardner has truly come up with another exciting, fast-break oriented orien-ted team. The varsity was put on public display last night for the first time when they met a George Fisher coached freshman squad before be-fore approximately 4,000 fans in the fieldhouse. MacKay is also an excellent hustler, and he often came up with lose balls. The prime candidates for the other forward spot are Joe English and Don Denson. Both are good shooters, but Denson showed more strength in rebound- Jack Garner unleashed another fast-breaking team last night before an estimated 4,000 fans. The team promises plenty of excitement and high scoring games this season. |
