Communication to bers will be effected through the reference groups. A workshop will be held this weekend to determine the internal structure of the cabinet. (Continued on Page 5) Freshman Cabinet elections were completed and its first meeting held Tuesday. Cabinet will consist of 34 representatives, repre-sentatives, 18 boys and 16 girls. Eight of the freshmen live in the dorms and five are affiliated. The 31 cabinet members were chosen from over 12 freshmen who won in preliminary elections. Election procedures started several weeks ago when each reference group chose a representative. Representatives Rep-resentatives met in groups of four and five to choose the final cabinet members. This is the first time freshmen have been able to elect their own representatives. Previous selection was done by upperclass-men. upperclass-men. Over 40 per cent of the freshman class participated in the elections. According to Janet Crystal, Organizations Organ-izations Board members, those in charge of the program are "exceedingly "exceed-ingly pleased." The same general method of selection will be used again next year. Four upperclassmen will act as advisors to the Cabinet. They are Mary Ellen Hintze, Ilene Clark, Steve Burnsides and Jeff Swinton. All Freshmen are encouraged to become active in extra-curricular activityies.
