Show University Establishes New Grad Dept. In Deutschland ber of the Utah faculty since 1956. He received his B.A. degree from the Brigham Young University in 1956, M.B.A. degree in 1958 from Stanford University, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1965. The University of Utah will establish a new graduate program in Germany next August which will lead to a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA). The University has signed a one-year one-year contract with the United States Air Force to present the MBA program at bases near Frankfurt, Frank-furt, Germany. The College of Business inaugurated its overseas MBA program last August at U.S. Air Bases in England. Dr. Clyde N. Randall, dean of the College of Business, said faculty fac-ulty members will be rotated to Germany on an eight-week schedule, sched-ule, beginning in August. As far as possible, faculty members will do their teaching in Germany and England during their regular quarter quar-ter off, so as not to interfere with their regular on-campus teaching schedule. The two-year MBA program consists con-sists . of five eight-week quarters a year. Dean Randall said, "Our overseas over-seas program offers an opportunity for both enlisted men and officers to earn a graduate degree while serving an overseas tour of duty. It is the only overseas U.S. Armed Forces education program offering graduate courses in Business Administration.". Ad-ministration.". The programs in England and Germany are offered at no cost to the University of Utah. They meet the requirements of the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business for an accredited MBA "degree. Dr. Elden J. Facer is presently in Germany interviewing Air Force personnel for the fall classes. Final approval of students will be made by the University, subject to the same admission standards on the Utah campus. Resident credit will be given for the courses as though they were offered in Salt Lake City. It was also announced that Dr. Jerry Jorgenson, associate professor profes-sor of banking and finance, has been appointed chairman of the overseas program.
