Show Acting Buffs Step Forward Open auditions for roles in Arthur Ar-thur Miller's controversial play "After the Fall" have been announced an-nounced by Dr. Keith M. Engar, executive director of the University Univer-sity of Utah Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Dr. H. E. D. Redford, director of the drama which will play in Pioneer Theatre Oct. 13-22, said tryouts will be conducted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug. 15-17) 15-17) from 5 to 7 p.m. on Pioneer Theatre's main stage. EMPHASIZING that he is particularly par-ticularly interested in community involvement in the casting of the play, Dr. Redford said there are 10 major roles requiring mature actors. They include Quentin, the play's central character; the five women in Quentin's life and four men who are associated with him. DR. REDFORD said any persons interested in auditioning for a role inthe play who are unable to attend at-tend the scheduled tryouts should telephone 322-6356 and leave a message or a telephone number so that a later audition may be scheduled. sched-uled. "After the Fall" is the second play on Pioneer Theatre's winter season. The season will open Sept. 22 with the musical "Funny Girl." |
