Show New Program In Orientation A unique program is being initiated initi-ated on the University campus today. to-day. The program is a personalized advanced summer orientation session. ses-sion. Sponsored by the Orientation Orienta-tion Committee, this new program will focus on the individual as a personal entity on the large University Uni-versity campus. ON AUGUST 5 and 6 and August 12 and 13, two different groups of incoming freshmen will become acquainted ac-quainted with administration, faculty, fac-ulty, and student leaders. Individual Individ-ual interests will be stressed, for at no time will a group be larger than ten students. This new program will center around: explanative sessions on University life, counseling sessions, a pre-fall registration and a concluding con-cluding question and answer period. peri-od. IT IS HOPED that this novel preschool pre-school orientation program will give incoming students an identity with the University. The students will go away with a feeling that the University indeed offers them a unique living experience which is of personal benefit. At all times these students will find that there is an interested student, counselor, or faculty member to turn to. In future summers, the Orientation Orienta-tion Committee hopes to expand this new two-week program into an entire summer session of personalization. |
