Show BYU-One Of Nation's Best If Brigham Young doesn't have the best team in the nation this year, it will next. With 12 outstanding ball players Coach Stan Watts claims to be "improved." And improved the team is. All of last year's starters are back and five of the nation's talented Sophs will all wear the same color suits. Six-eight center John Fairchild leads the squad with a var-city var-city of shots missing from a WAC postman since Bill the Hill. Dick Nemelka, junior guard along with Jeff Congden another junior, but out with a broken hand, pose a great guard line. Even with Congden out, a veteran like Mike Gardner or an outstanding soph like Jim Jimas or Ken James could take over effecively. The Cats have dropped three dispite their talent and finished third in the All-college tourney. |
