MISS THORNE, a member of Pi Beta 'Phi, has been an active Union Board member during the current year, serving as Union Program Council Chairman. She is also a member of Cwean, Beehive, Bee-hive, and various student-faculty committees. Following Miss Thome's appointment, ap-pointment, several new policies were passed by the Union Board. In order to Increase Interest In campus elections, the board has made available certain areas of the Union expressly for the use of the elections committee and prospective candidates. The Elections Committee will be allowed use of the main floor corridor directly west of the ASUU offices between both stair cases for student campaign and publicity areas. The area will be made available avail-able only during the time preceding pre-ceding the final elections and following the primary elections. This policy will go. into effect immediately.. The Board also provided authorization au-thorization for food service personnel per-sonnel to remove persons from the cafeteria when they are using us-ing it for purposes other than eating. |
