Show 'Skins Ready For NCAA Four Redskin swimmers will compete com-pete in the NOAA tournament this weekend "at Yale University and a fifth will enter the National AAU meet the following week at Bart-lesville, Bart-lesville, Oklahoma. THE SWIMMERS and their competing com-peting events include Steve Shultz, 400-yard individual medley. 200-yard 200-yard individual medley and 1650-yard 1650-yard freestyle; Kim Barrtard, 200-yard 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard 100-yard breastroke; Dave Dixon, 200-yard 200-yard butterfly and 1650-yard freestyle free-style and Larry Raffaelli, 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. The foursome will compete in the 400-yard medley relay. Pete Churchill, Ineligible for NCAA NC-AA competition this year, Is the fifth Ute who, along with Shultz, will represent the Utes in the National Nat-ional AAU. - The Ute . swimmers, who have won two consecutive Western Athletic Ath-letic Conference championships, hold victories over some of the top intercollegiate swimming teams in the western United. SUtes this year. REDSKINS now hold 13 of the WAC records in their two year domination of the aquatic sport. Indiana is favored to win the NOAA team championship, but Southern California, Yale and Michigan Mich-igan offer threats for the team championship. |
