These ideas will be discussed at the second in a series of Jewish-Christian Jewish-Christian inter-faith discussions to be held at 8 p.m., Dec. 2, at Temple Tem-ple B'Nai Israel, 249 South 4th East. This series of discussions is named "To Grow In Wisdom." The panel will consist of: Rabbi Maurice Schwartz, Judaic . view; Rev. John B. Berris, Orthodox view; Rev. Lawrence' P. Sweeney, Catholic view; Pastor Neale E. Nelson, Nel-son, Protestant Lutheran view; Dr. Lowell L. Bennion, Mormon view; and Dr. Waldemer P. Read, Humanistic Human-istic view. The "What Is Man?" topic was selected because many present-day religious leaders believe that Humanism Hu-manism is the chief threat to both Christianity and Judaism at the present time. The general public is invited, and will have ample time to direct questions to the panel members. |
