G G C CLUB By Sue Ann Thompson The G G C Club organized on May 29th, with the following officers: Terry Fisher, president; Helen Jean Gillins, vice presi-i presi-i dent; Sally Lee Williams, seere-i seere-i tary; Sue Ann Thompson, re-' re-' porter; Sandra Beard, organist; . Marion Hollingshead, recreation i manager. We had party sandwiches, punch, and a milkdrink. We met again on June 11th at the home of our leader, Mrs. Florence Beard. We made lour kinds of cookies. They were nut, pinwheel, decorated. We again met on June l&th On June 20th we met at the home of DeVona Griffiths. We made sandwiches and malted milkshakes. HAPPY STITCHERS f "Ey Marilyn Moora Friday, June 22, tne nappy Stitchers held their fifth meeting meet-ing at the home of Mrs. Lund. The girls said the 4-H pledge, alter which we sang songs. Important dates and times were discussed and the girls worked on projects. Excused was Sammy B. The girls who were there worked very hard on their proj- ccts. At noon a five-minute clean-up was called. ' Refreshments of chocolate covered ice cream cones were served. BEAVER COUNTY 4-H CLUB NEWS BUSY BEAVERS By Colleen Firmage The Busy Beavers 4-H Club met June 18 at Linda Sue Far-rers Far-rers home. We fixed fruits. Virginia Murdock gave a demonstration dem-onstration on how to slice and peel fruits. Colleen Firmage gave the health lesson. June 26 we met at Patsy Griffiths. Gordon Farnsworth came and talked to us about safely. We made four different kinds of toast. Our next meeting meet-ing will be held at Annette Whetton's. NUTTY NEEDLES By Maurine Erickson The Nutty Needles 4-H Club was held" a week ago Friday at the home of Blanche Yardley. We were shown how to darn stockings, and next time we are going to bring our stockings and judge them. We were served ice cream and cookies. Linda Carter was excused. Our next meeting was held Thursday at Jilene Smith's, and we- did not follow out our plan because four members were absent. ab-sent. MANDERFIELD 4-H CLUB By Rea Dawn Bradshaw The Manderfield 4-H Club had their second meeting at Mrs. Leona Bradshaw's, and learned how" to darn stockings. Three members attended the meeting. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Carene Baldwin. Bald-win. SEVEN COOKIES By Jane Fillmore The Seven - Cookies Cooking met at Mrs. Analoe Goodwin's for our first meeting. We elected elect-ed the following officers for the year: - Gay Fillmore, president; Trudy Tru-dy Rollins, vice president; Helen j Griffiths, secretary; Marilyn Atkin, treasurer; Jane- Fillmore, reporter. Mrs. DeVona Griffiths and Mrs. Analoe Goodwin are our teachers. Five were present at the meeting. One girl had chicken pox. KITCHEN QUEENS We met at the home of Joann Mayor on June 23rd Those present were Judy Paice, Ber-nice Ber-nice Thompson, Pamela Edwards, Ed-wards, Mary Campbell, Marsha Smith, Linda Sherwoo'! and Joann Jo-ann Couch.
