' I Sun.-Mon.. June 3-4 "THE LONE RANGER" In Color This picture offers nothing new under the Western sun, although al-though it has the advantage of some lovely color and scenery (filmed in Southern Utah) and a full-blown plot. The picture is a tremendous amount of fun. It is a pure, simple, old-fashioned Western with lots and lots of I action, no romance, no psychology, psychol-ogy, no complex characterizations. characteriza-tions. This picture has been created for the unsophisticated, which in this case is not a criticism crit-icism but decidedly an asset. Tues.-Wed.-Thurs., June 5, 6. 7 "THE COURT JESTER" In Technicolor and Vista-Vision. Vista-Vision. In this picture we see again the spectacle of Danny Kaye, with his comic artistry and inimitable in-imitable talent for subtle buffoonery, buf-foonery, turning a fair story into a good picture. Danny carries all lOt minutes of it on his own shoulders, and what he is carrying carry-ing takes on sparkle, scintillation scintilla-tion and bounce only when he is allowed to cut loose which is oi'ten. This picture is definitely defi-nitely recommended for the entire en-tire family. |
