Show I " . i ! it t " ' ' MILFORD STUDENTS PLAN SALT LAKE U N TRIP Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of former Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt, will be the keynote speaker and technical advisor at the Utah Model United Nations Na-tions scheduled for April 20-21. She will be representing the United Nations. Attending from Milford on the main committee are Douglas Doug-las Memmott, chairman; Wade Meadows, Harriet Cline, Georgia Geor-gia Beth Smith and Renee Norton. Nor-ton. Observers and alternates are Jennie Sue Smith, Nancy Mellor, Susan Williams, lola Young, and Lynette Bracken. This group of 10 students will be representing the country of Denmark. In preparation for the trip the students have been studying and. gathering notes on Denmark, the United Nations organization, parliamentary procedure, pro-cedure, the Security Council, atomic energy and the effect of radiation on the health of mankind, and current problems i confronting the United Nations. Representing Denmark, the group will participate in the Security Se-curity Council on the effect of radiation on the health of man and his environment. Dr. E. N. Davie has organized a special Civil De'fense meeting for Thursday night at 8 o'clock, for this group, and will give technical techni-cal assistance on the matter of radiation. Jesse Long, as faculty representative rep-resentative and advisor, and Mrs. Loretta Cline will provide transportation for the students. The delegates will be guests of East high school students while in Salt Lake, and the alternates , will stay with relatives. MRS. ELEANOR ROOSEVELT . . .
