Show Fights to Fight Polio FIGHTS, DANCE. MOTHERS MARCH SCHEDULED IN MINERSVILLE j A "Smoker" in the Minersville Miners-ville school gymnasium Thursday Thurs-day evening, Jan. 19th, will feature fea-ture Minersville, Milford and Beaver youths in a full card of slug-fests, with all proceeds going go-ing to the Minersville March of Dimes funds, it was announced by Mrs. Jessie Myers, chairman of the Minersville drive. Assisting Assist-ing Mrs. Myers are Dale and Ruth Dotson, with Mrs, Ileen Gray in charge of the Marching Mothers. The Marching Mothers will make their annual canvass of the town of Thursday, Jan. 26th. The large March of Dimes card in Frank Pryor's store is beginning to fill-"up, Mrs. Myers said, but not as fast as the "foot of dimes" cards of a few years ago. At first it was announced that the large dimes card was located at Van's, instead of Frank Pryor's. Mr. Pryor has always been vary cooperative and very active in the polio drive, Mrs. Myers said. Concluding the 1956 March of Dimes activities for Minersville will be the annual Birthday Ball, Friday, Jan. 27, in the school gym, with Jake Schow's orchestra furnishing the music. |
