Mrs. George Mayer, Dorcas Welfare Society leader, reports that 438 pieces of clothing had been processed and given to needy persons during the year without regard for race or creed. Adventist Churches in North America accumulated a total of 3,156,754 articles of clothing given away last year, and 1,527,397 persons received help. Although the total membership member-ship of the denomination is but a little more than a million, the church carries on medical, educational edu-cational and gospel work in 183 of the 205 countries of the world. |
