Show SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR MARION BARNES I Funeral services were held I Saturday afternoon for Marion ; Rallen Barnes, 20, who died last Thursday in the Milford hospital hos-pital of injuries suffered in an auto accident May 29th. F o,l 1 o w i n g the accident which occurred just west of Beaver on Utah highway 21, young Barnes was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull and other injuries. He had seemed to be progressing satisfactorily, satis-factorily, although still in a crit-icial crit-icial condition, when his respiration res-piration stopped about midnight lart Monday night, and he was kept alive with artificial respiration respir-ation until 9 a.m. Tueday, when 1 an iron lung arrived by air from the Clearfield Naval Supply depot. de-pot. The iron lung failed to save him, and he died at 4 p.m. Thursday. Full military honors were conducted by Milford Post No. 16, American Legion. The colors were advanced and the honor guard stationed at parade rest during prelude I music by Mrs. Vera Bond . I Bishop Dick Banks directed the services, which were as fol-j lows: "The invocation was by Richard Rich-ard Jones. A ladies trio, Josephine Kill-am, Kill-am, Jerry Kirk and Bonnie eas-ton eas-ton sang "I'll Walk With God," accompanied by Mrs. Gwen Smith. The obituary' was read by Rudolph Nielsen. Solo, "The Lord's Prayer," Gael Elmer. Remarks, Carlyle Gronning. I Benediction, Carl Goodwin, j The casket was preceeded to I the cemetery by the Legion colors and standard, and the honor guard. The grave was dedicated by Mitchcl Fisher. 1 Survivors are his parents, 1 Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Barnes of Milford, five brothers and a sis-1 tor, Richard Barnes of San i Francisco; Nathan Barnes of ! Fontana, Calif.; Ray LuDean, ' 1 Elmer and Joann Barnes of Milford: Mil-ford: and a gradfather, D. L. Barnes of Caliente. Burial was in the Milford cemetery. I |
